While it has zero atmosphere, the food is amazing, it's never crowded and the owners are delightful. Everything on the menu is vegan, even the dishes that say chicken and beef are all vegan.

This place is quite close to my house, you can get to it by crossing over HWY 97 on the pedestrian bridge and will find it in one of the smaller, older Landmark buildings. Amazing snacks and cozy setting. There is also a Bean Scene in the newest, shiniest Landmark building that has a great patio and also has great coffee.

Amazing snacks and cozy setting. There is also a Bean Scene in the newest, shiniest Landmark building that has a great patio and also has great coffee.
Love this place! Good snacks, great coffee, outside patio there and if they're line up looks too long, then right across the street there is a Blenz. A great place to stop while exploring this up and coming shopping district of Kelowna known as South Pandosy.

It is so easy to get there from my place, you just hop onto the bike path and follow it and you'll end up there - about 5 minutes cycling, 15 minutes walking. They have amazing treats and great coffee, an outdoor patio and it's just a nice spot.

Bliss Bakery - Ellis Street
1289 Ellis StIt is so easy to get there from my place, you just hop onto the bike path and follow it and you'll end up there - about 5 minutes cycling, 15 minutes walking. They have amazing treats and great coffee, an outdoor patio and it's just a nice spot.
The food is amazing, the view is amazing but the music is loud and the service is slow, so it's not a place to head to if you're in a hurry. Still, it is truly a favourite.

This place may not have the fanciest atmosphere but the food is always great, delivered fairly quickly and the owners, Kitty and Jamjeet are always willing to please. We often ask them to order for us, just telling them what foods we like and they always hit the nail on the head. Compared to other restaurants of its kind, it's priced cheaper and the food really is great!

Seriously, you will thank me profusely if you like Indian food. Without a doubt, THE VERY BEST pakoras, eggplant bharta and aloo gobi I've ever ever eaten. It is a tiny restaurant with only about 6 tables, but they do take out and delivery if you prefer. We ordered mild spicy and it was perfect, with enough kick to know you're alive but not so much you can't eat it. If you eat dairy, my son says its the best raita he's ever eaten as well. Also, huge portions and priced well. Enjoy!!!!!

Sightseeing
For those who want an adventure cycling, this is an old railway line that crosses over 18 trestles between the Ruth and Myra stations and offers some spectacular vistas of the valley. Ever since they put wooden guard railings on the trestles it's not quite the adrenaline rush it used to be to ride or walk over the trestles but it can still give a sense of tingle to those with a fear of heights. While you can walk it, it's way more fun to ride it on a bike. Bike rentals and organized tours are available. Best to access via the Myra station. Located out in the Upper Mission area of Kelowna, this is a scenic place to go and explore several suspension bridges. It offers a wonderful view of the City, the Lake and surrounding areas and the suspension bridges are fun to travel across.

Everything Else
If you're going on a winery tour, make sure to add Summerhill to your list as this is just such a fun and funky place. The owner built a replica of the great pyramid to age his wine in and you can actually tour it if you like. Hanging out inside the pyramid on a scorching hot Okanagan day is pretty cool!

Quail's Gate Winery is a beautiful spot to visit and if you go, then make sure to continue the drive on to Mission Hill Estate Winery afterwards. These two should be on any winery tour list.

This winery is probably the most scenic of them all. They also have an amphitheatre and hold a few outdoor concerts each summer. The wine tasting is good - they have award winning wines, but my favourite thing to do is just walk around the grounds.

Love Knox Mountain! It is a great place to hike around, especially if you want to head to one of my favourite beaches, at Paul's Tomb. It is a long walk in and an even longer walk out and the beach is soft pebbles but it is such a lovely walk, I never mind it.

If you're downtown and looking for a quiet oasis, this is it! Tucked in behind City Hall and the Memorial Arena, this Japanese Garden is full of great places to just be still. Also wonderful photo ops to be had!

While you can walk this scenic route, I highly suggest you either bring your own bikes or rent some so you can experience all 18 trestles and two tunnels of this old abandoned section of the Kettle Valley Railway. Because it was a railway, there is never any slope more than a 6% grade so it's easy enough that virtually anyone who can ride a bike can do this. It used to be a place only for the truly adventurous before they put railings on the trestles after someone fell off about 25 years ago, but it's still a thrill to ride or walk over the trestles. Bring some bug spray along, lots of water and your camera!

A beautiful network of trails that wind along Mission Creel - which is more the size of a river than a creek. You can walk or cycle, depending on which trails you take - all are very well marked. A lovely place to escape the city noise.
