Nacionalni park Joshua Tree
Within Joshua Tree National Park, you can drive to this site, 5000 ft + up into the park. By day you will pass some of the oldest Joshua Trees in the park on Keys View Road. At the top you have 360 degree views that include 2 of the tallest mountains in So. Cal, the Salton Sea, the Desert Cities from Palm Springs to Indian Wells, and even, on a clear day.... all the way to Mexico! By night, it may be one of the best spots for Star Gazing. (Although, you do see city lights from the Palm Springs area from there as well).

To get to the Arch Rock trailhead: From the intersection with Park Boulevard and Pinto Basin Road, 4.5 miles south of the north entrance, head west on Pinto Basin Road for 2.7 miles to White Tank Campground. Enter the campground and proceed to the trailhead near site #9
PS - I don't know what that Adobe Rd address is. Mapquest pulled it up and it's incorrect. Check the website and/or call for specific directions to the Observatory.

Great place for a beer and food after a hike. They have the best sweet potato fries! Sometimes there is live music and/or karaoke. Decent food, much better then your average pub grub. They are open later then most as well.

All breads, dressings, soups and desserts are homemade. They have their own farm and harvest fruits and vegetables that go straight to the table whenever the season is right.
Poolside dining is an option, a full bar and live acoustic music every night starting at 6:00pm. They don't take reservations and there can be a wait. Like everywhere up here, it closes early. So get there early to enjoy. Hrs are 5-9p for dinner
