Our favorite place for coffee in Champaign-Urbana. We recommend the specialty lattes, they're all phenomenal.
Flying Machine Coffee is also a good work space to hunker down in for a few hours.
Flying Machine Coffee also shares a space with "Pizza M", a kind of hipster pizzeria we frequent. Our favorite is probably the "Pear & Brie" pizza, with the titular "The Pizza M" a close second.

Crane Alley is a nice restaurant/bar with a good selection of tasty dishes and craft beers, as well as pool tables.

Sitara is considered by most in Champaign-Urbana to be the best Indian restaurant in town. If you know you love traditional Indian food like we do, Sitara is a no-brainer.

Drinks & Nightlife
Perhaps Champaign's favorite brewery/bar. A hip place with a lot of character and a pretty stellar selection, no matter what kind of brew you usually go for. A lot of good stuff on tap.
It has two locations in downtown Champaign, both are pretty cool. This location has the brewing tanks, a greater selection on tap, and large outdoor patio.
The other Blind Pig (the block next to this one, on Walnut street) has more indoor seating, some outdoor seating, and dart boards.

The Robert Allerton Park is a 1,517-acre park with a lot of statues, gardens, hiking trails, and events. It's about a 35 minute drive from Champaign-Urbana, and makes for a very nice, short day trip. It's also free!

A small yet lovely Japanese house and garden on a pond. A nice spot to relax or have a picnic, as well as being within walking distance.
