HOW we roam: car-sharing service, scooters or bikes (garage parking readily available too, although we prefer not to drive)
The talk of the town – literally everyone, natives and tourists alike, know or have heard of “The Plaza”. The Country Club District of Kansas City is a must-see and offers retail, restaurants and entertainment venues spanning beautifully designed Seville Spain inspired architecture. The neighborhoods surrounding The Plaza consist of upscale apartment buildings and homes as well as walking trails and parks. Loose Park and the Nelson Lawn offer plenty of room to roam with nature. The Plaza is also the first outdoor shopping center in the world!

Bars, restaurants and entertainment venues open their doors to those seeking an evening of song and dance. Enjoy your night… the neighborhood is up late.

Hip coffee bars, rooftop terraces and breweries are hidden throughout. The district is packed with chef owned, local, one-of-a-kind restaurants - you won’t find any chains here. At monthly First Friday events, art shows, music performances and food trucks draw big crows. The free street car navigates right through the middle providing easy access to Crown Center and Downtown.

Plenty of patios are offered for those days when the weather is just right.
