Sightseeing
These are the directions to fire beach which is within walking distance of the resort. The camp site is situated by the beach but the beach is available to all.
The beach is about forty minutes on foot, less than ten minutes by car.
Leave the resort and go down the access road, where you turn right. You will come to a roundabout where you go straight across. You will then reach a T junction, there is a sign post left to Aheloy, but turn right instead. Continue walking in a straight line until you see the camp site on your left. You can reach the beach via the campsite. If you are in a car, there is parking.
There is a small beach with lots of shells. As you go across the beach, there is a very nice and affordable beach cafe. On the other side of the cafe there is a larger beach with umbrellas etc.

The castle is very beautiful and there are activities for children including a small zoo. There was also a very interesting Egyptian exhibition when we visited. Sadly you are not allowed to go inside of the castle, but there are plans for the future.

An absolute must to visit. Beautiful and ancient. The old town is reached by a causeway there are buses from the resort. There are too many amazing restaurants to recommend just one. Lots of unique local merchandise available, including leather goods and local pottery and textiles.

Famous for therapeutic mud baths, bird watching, and the salt planes. We haven’t tried it yet ourselves, but have had it recommended by guests. Here is a useful article:

Food scene
I would style this as a rock café! And the best burgers I’ve ever tasted! Friendly staff and very good value. Also open in winter time.
