This restaurant is relatively close and has a full classic American food menu. Pleasant atmosphere and has a lot of variety without having to head to the center of Wasilla to get choice of breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Large dessert selection.

This is the classiest Italian restaurant in town. Ask to sit by the fireplace or request a view of the mountains. Local family owned, they relocated here after a quaint smaller start.

This Italian restaurant is about 5 miles closer to Alaska Lakefront BNB then Evangelo's is and is a favorite with many of the locals. Not quite as fancy as Evangelo's yet still very nice.

Nice place to get a burger or halibut in a old classic Alaskan themed restaurant. I suggest sitting in the room with all the trout mounted on the walls to experience it well. Quaint. I think you will really like it.

This is a glacier, one of the very few you will be able to see from the highway, or for a reasonable fee, take a tour and walk right on it. Ask me questions when you arrive or text me your questions. I have a couple of photos of it in my pictures here on Airbnb.

Matanuska Glacier

This is the place to get just about anything. It is similar to Walmart, a bit closer to us, and my favorite place to shop. You can get your fishing license here, and your gun too, if you'd like. And if you need bananas and band aids you can get those too. There is also a pharmacy, clothes, you name it. My favorite spot to get organic food, to serve you for breakfast. :-)

Entertainment & Activities
My BNB is right on this lake with gorgeous views. Seymour lake (also known as Herning Lake) has the reputation for being the greatest trout fishing lake in the entire Mat-Su Valley. Fish from our canoe or ice fish in the winter months. In the summer take out the canoe to enjoy the scenery. Our large dock has lawn chairs to enjoy the water, sun, swimming, and wildlife. Watch fisherman. We have a floating dock available. Float planes take off daily (summer) which many guest enjoy watching. The lake is surprisingly quiet and peaceful. Planes take off in the winter as well. You will love it.
