Parks & Nature

Back your picnic bag and take a 5 minutes ferry trip (7 eur there-and-back, so save the ticket for the return!). It is a tiny, beautifully plain island with wonderfully great sights to the Baltic Sea. The island has a big round 1920-style restaurant called HSS Paviljong. Also Cafe Uunisaari and Ravintola Skiffer Liuskaluoto - but check their opening-times if you planning to visit.

Arts & Culture

Helsinki history for all. Kids will love this as well. After the visit, THE MUST is the Market Place just behind the museum for enjoying a traditional Finnish meat-pie with a cup of coffee in the orange tent. If you are an early bird, then do this opposite way: first the Market Place and its coffee tent, the museum (opens at 11).
