Stunning views and location. The view of the Light House dominates the sea Loch. The hotel extends it's outbuildings to an attractive art gallery and to a quaint highland craft and clothing shop. This is a very good place to stop and refresh- (serving meals from the bar or for formal dining in the restaurant), before heading out to see the Clan Donald museum, Armadale pier, and 'The point at Aird" where you have to walk the last part to reach lands end, exposing beautiful beach.

Nice place in the summer to eat and drink Alfresco. The hotel bar also serves meals in an informal dining area.

Five Sisters of Kintail
PLOCKTON CRAGS WALK
My favourite walk in the Balmacara Estate, this circular route leaves from the village of Achnandarach and follows the road towards Plockton, skirting Loch Lundie before striking off through a forestry plantation, with views over Plockton. A trail leads from the plantation to Bealach Mor (Plockton Crags), for the most impressive views across the area. If the day is clear you can see over Loch Carron to the peaks of Wester Ross in the north, to Skye to the west, and south to the Five Sisters of Kintail. The walk then descends from the crags and joins the trail around Loch Achaidh na h-Inch.
