Our favorite places for dining or take out!
We love to go to Pop's Place for dinner or take out. The location is at the Caracasbaai and seating is outside, overlooking the bay. Their stoba (stew) is served with fries, funchi (cooked corn flour) or rice. We honestly like everything on the menu. The red snapper they cook up is a must as well. Be sure to order awa lamunchi (home made lemonade) Reservations can be made but are not necessary.

Be sure to head to the supermarket to get some vanilla ice cream. Reheat the pumpkin pancakes and serve with vanilla icecream.yummmie!!

The Gouverneur offers local and international cuisines for lunch or dinner. The food is excellent and they offer glutenfree and vegetarian options. Try their fresh raw tuna as an appetizer and follow up with the trio fish or the tasty Caribbean salad with chicken. If you love flan be sure to leave room for a Caribbean cream caramel flan.
Reservations for dinner should be made.

Try their fresh raw tuna as an appetizer and follow up with the trio fish or the tasty Caribbean salad with chicken. If you love flan be sure to leave room for a Caribbean cream caramel flan.

Dining at Baoase is a very luxurious experience, which is both reflected in the food, and ambiance. The restaurant is on the beach, ensuring for a Carribean experience. The Baoase, is often seen as the most high-end restaurant in Curacao, and if you're fortunate, you will be able to spot a few celebrities there. The restaurant's menus are very diverse, changing it up between breakfast, lunch, dinner, and even including specialty menus such as the romantic menu and beach menu. My personal favorites include the lobster croquet with a sunset prosecco if I'm feeling myself. Followed by a delectable coconut crepe.
Reservations are necessary, and the service is excellent , $$$$

The Baoase, is often seen as the most high-end restaurant in Curacao, and if you're fortunate, you will be able to spot a few celebrities there. The restaurant's menus are very diverse, changing it up between breakfast, lunch, dinner, and even including specialty menus such as the romantic menu and beach menu. My personal favorites include the lobster croquet with a sunset prosecco if I'm feeling myself. Followed by a delectable coconut crepe.

The many options of pizza toppings ensure something for everyone in the family. You can opt for take-out or simply eat in, however the seating outside. I would personally recommend the Diavolo, a stone oven-baked crust with tomato sauce, pepperoni, fresh garlic, olives, and gouda cheese.

This is probably our families favorite place for take out, on the days when I can't be bothered to cook. We always order the rijsttafel for however many people we have. The serving size I believe is very generous so I would personally recommend buying one less than the number of people (we do this and we still have leftovers !! :) ). The rijstafel includes Indonesian you could crave. From rice to the stewed meat, and sour-sweet chicken. This restaurant has it all. You can also dine-in , for the full Batik Asli Experience.

Mambo beach is arguably the most tourist-friendly beach on the island. The parking lot has security, and along the beach there is a cafe that serves great beach side snacks. There is a fee for shaded beach cabanas, sunbeds and access to the swimming pool. The beach is clean, organized and safe. And has great snorkeling opportunities. It is touristy though.
We would give it 4 stars.

Bapor KibráMambo beach is arguably the most tourist-friendly beach on the island. The parking lot has security, and along the beach there is a cafe that serves great beach side snacks. There is a fee for shaded beach cabanas, sunbeds and access to the swimming pool. The beach is clean, organized and safe. And has great snorkeling opportunities. It is touristy though.
We would give it 4 stars.
This beach is connected to a gran resort. And accessible when a day is bought. There is an additional entry fee, per car; however this is refunded if your families decides to eat there. The day ass also allows you to treat yourself to a spa day for an additional fee(with a reservation).

Santa Barbara Beach & Golf Resort Curaçao
This beach is connected to a gran resort. And accessible when a day is bought. There is an additional entry fee, per car; however this is refunded if your families decides to eat there. The day ass also allows you to treat yourself to a spa day for an additional fee(with a reservation).

This is an amazing beach that's a go-to for many locals. The clear blue water is easy to snorkel in. And the beach is family-friendly.

Porto Marie is an extravagant beach, with clear water and a plentiful of ish. It offers a different type of beach as instead of regular sand the ground mostly consist of pebbles, offering a unique experience. There is an entry fee, as well as an extra fee for seating and shade. The beach offers amenities such as a restaurant and if y want to explore the Carribean marine life a little closer there is a dive shop.

This is another locally visited beach. There is an entry fee per vehicle, which ensures the cleanliness of the beach. The seating is free; however, we recommend arriving earlier to find a spot in the shade. There is a restaurant offering midday snacks and delicious milkshakes for when you're hungry, after snorkeling.

This small natural beach. Leads to very clear bright blue water. And allows for sea glass hunting. As this not a commercial beach you will have to bring your own amenities, and there are limited parking spots. But do not miss out on this hidden gem.

This is the most crowded and touristy beach on the island. However if you do not mind the crowd, its a family friendly beach. there's a restaurant, and bar which serves you directly onto the beach, as well as shops around it including an ice cream parlor to cool down. This is one of the hot spots for late-night partying tourist and locals combined.

Jan Thiel Beach
This is the most crowded and touristy beach on the island. However if you do not mind the crowd, its a family friendly beach. there's a restaurant, and bar which serves you directly onto the beach, as well as shops around it including an ice cream parlor to cool down. This is one of the hot spots for late-night partying tourist and locals combined.
We rate this beach at 3 stars.
This is the hidden gem of the island. As just a few minutes swim from the beach there is a sunken tugboat which has been enveloped with corals and becomes a reef. This is also a great for divers at any skill level as well as snorkelers. we would personally recommend you bring old bread to feed the fish as they are so used to it they will immediately swim up to you. This is the best snorkeling spot on the island.

This is the hidden gem of the island. As just a few minutes swim from the beach there is a sunken tugboat which has been enveloped with corals and becomes a reef. This is also a great for divers at any skill level as well as snorkelers. we would personally recommend you bring old bread to feed the fish as they are so used to it they will immediately swim up to you. This is the best snorkeling spot on the island.
