I love this 'escape' from the hustle of the city and island/backyard feel! Behind Harlem Tavern, this place doesn't look like much but once you order, you walk ALL THE WAY back and then outside and you are in the Caribbean! Food is delicious and so much fun to share!

Its an interesting walk across town where you pass by African Market and a Botanica and the neighborhood morphs form West African to Mexican (about 20 minute walk form my apt) and super inexpensive and authentic - try the HUARACHE al pastor or the HUARACHE de pollo!!! Standing only (or one table with three chairs in the back) and a bathroom in back.
Green sauce that looks like guacamole is SUPER SPICY!
