One of my favorite museums in the city. Drop in for a few minutes or stay for hours. It's donation based, so feel no pressure to go once and see it all then. I'd recommend checking out the rooftop before you leave, great views of the skyline + central park, and on Friday and Saturday evenings they stay open until 9pm and have drinks on the rooftop :)

My favorite local ramen joint. It's for people who can appreciate "hole in the wall" charm. Also, cash only! So come prepared. My favorite is the toto ramen :)

A NYC ramen institution. I recommend trying the pork buns too! This place usually has quite a line. So perhaps put your name on the list and go for a walk in the area.

Yummy peruvian food! It can be a little loud, so be prepared for a lively latin american experience. Great ceviche + peruvian fare (chicken + rice + plantains etc)

THE BEST Halal in NYC. This is actually not a restaurant but rather a food stand. It is recognized as the best Halal stand in all of NYC and the best street food I've found in the city. Very good prices, but cash only! Definitely worth a try!
