Beautiful drive out to the end of Pierce Point Road . Bay on one side, ocean on the other. Tidepools and perrigine falcons. No dogs allowed. The dog beach is Kehoe Beach right before McClure's.

Easy parking located on Drake's Bay. Somewhat more protected from the winds and surf compared to the ocean. There's a bookstore and cafe only open Sat & Sun.
Tule Elk, whales, elephant seals and many different species of birds.

Great place to meet Elephant seals.
Visitor Center Short walk but to get to the lighthouse itself you must descend 308 steps. going back up included! Great place to view whale migration.

Little over a mile from downtown Inverness on the right. The warmest of bay beaches but it is unmarked. warm enough to swim in!

Just past Chicken Ranch Sir Francis Drake splits. A sharp right enters Seahaven and at the very end there's a parking lot. This won"t be found on any map. Local's secret. The mile hike down to the beach is easy . When you get to the beach look for a little bridge and a trail up the other side. Shell 1 and Shell 2! Shell 2 is a clothing optional beach.

The mile hike down to the beach is easy . When you get to the beach look for a little bridge and a trail up the other side. Shell 1 and Shell 2! Shell 2 is a clothing optional beach.
At the junction of Bear Valley and Sir Francis Drake. A tree lined lush walk along the Papermill Creek. Another favorite.

But this beach is my absolute favorite. My grandmother claimed it had the freshest air on the planet. Hand's down, great. A circular walk atop the bluff and drops down to the beach back to the parking lot. Its located north of Pt. Reyes @ 3 1/2 miles. You can see our house from there!. Big parking lot and restroom.
