A very pretty pub with a large garden. Nice beers on tap and they do a truly excellent Steak and Chips. The Latern is in a small village not far from Dover called Martin in the Mill.

Walk up from the town or drive and park at the visitors centre. See the white cliffs, ponies, historic tunnels (in season) and if you want a good walk, walk to the Lighthouse and get an excellent tour up the lighthouse and refreshments in the lovely Mrs Knotts tea room.

Ignore the photos to the right.. please see the website. This is got to be the most important and impressive castle in the whole of England. Just above the house, walk up the hill and you will find it! Great place to spend a few hours or a whole day. Lots of events across the holidays.

A lovely spot for walks along the see and under the white cliffs and a coffee. If the weather turns you can take shelter in their gallery which has a wood burning stove to keep you warm in winter.
