Scenic recommendations in West Clare

Miltown Malbay situated on the Wild Atlantic Way, is famous for its annual Scoil Samhradh Willie Clancy held every July, a feast of traditional Irish music for everyone to enjoy. There are several safe family beaches as well as surfing all within a few kms of the town. The town itself boasts a trad music session every night of the week throughout the year. Lots of pubs, restaurants and shops to choose from. Easy access to Shannon airport as well as all the major tourist spots. Once finished with sightseeing for the day relax and unwind in one of the most authentic Irish towns.

Loop Head The wild unspoiled rugged coastline and most westerly point in Co Clare, Loop Head juts into the Atlantic Ocean pointing Westward. Three villages in the area are Kilbaha, Carriagaholt and Kilkee. A must see are the panoramic views from the top of the lighthouse, the Bridges of Ross, the Church of the little Ark and a boat trip into the estuary to see the bottle-nose dolphins.
