If you like beer, ECB is a must! They design and brew all their beer in house. Try the Dobblebock, it's Melody and I's favorite. The food offering are stellar too. Most weekends they offer live music and have large TV's to catch all the games.

The memorial is about 2 miles from our house. It is free and very powerful. Built by the father of a fallen Vietnam vet in 1968, its the 1st Vietnam memorial to be constructed in the country.

In my opinion the drive from Eagles Nest to Cimmaron through Cimmaron Canyon is the most pleasant drive in the area. The park offers great fishing and hiking and plenty of chances to see wildlife.

Taos is a short 30 minute drive from our vacation rental. The plaza offers the best opportunity to shop in the area, as well as visit art galleries displaying art of every kind from dozens of local artist and artisans. Lots of restaurants and bars in the plaza as well.
