Blessed Virgin Mary of the Snows is dedicated by the monastery and church in Cavtat. Due to the stimulus of Dubrovnik’s Friars Minor the monastery was founded in 1484, while the church was built in 1493. The entire complex has a rectangular shape with a beautiful garden located on the north side, while the church is located in the east wing. The monastery was occupied by a high school founded by Frano Jurić, and was also a keeper of the Baltazar Bogišić foundation. Today, the monastery is famous for hosting artistic events. Together with the church, in 1984 it was declared a cultural monument. The church is rich in works of art, such as works of Celestin Medović, Vlaho Bukovac and others.
