The NCIC offers a very convenient ferry service from Pine Island to North Captiva. Your golf cart will wait for you at the arrival on the island. Book your ferry via the Island Club of North Captiva Website: northcaptiva(.)com

North Captiva has no real shopping. There is Mango's where you can get essentials if you forgot anything, but you have to bring your food with you. You can either pre-order at Publix and pick your orders up on the way to Pine island (tell them to "boat-pack" it) or you use one of the grocery services: freshpickgroceryservice.com Debbie Winstead elitegroceryservice.com northcaptivagroceries.net

For our resort guests, we provide complimentary use of bikes, kayaks and beach chairs. After check-in, you can sign out bikes and kayaks for the day. For Island Club Guests and Members we offer use of our Olympic and Lap size heated swimming pools. There is plenty of space on our 10,000 square foot brick paved pool area with 80 chaise lounges & Pool bar offerring Mangos lunch menu pool side.

Your golf cart will be waiting for you at the ferry arrival for your convenience. If you would like to rent an additional golf cart please contact Boats and Fun directly.

We want you and your family have a great time while you stay at our beautiful house. And having kids of our own, we know that they would love to drive the golf cart, because it is so much fun. On the island you have to be a licensed driver to operate a golf cart. There have been some very heavy accidents caused by speeding, driving drunk or underaged kids. Don't get involved in a tragedy like this. Please drive responsibly and don't let your kids get behind the wheel. Even if they do not cause an accident, they might not be able to avoid one caused by somebody else. Thank you!

I like Island Seafood Market on Matlacha. She will pass it on the way to Pine Island where she catches the ferry. They will also deliver to the Island Girl dock where it can be taken to North Captiva on the ferry. http://www.seafoodmarketinmatlachafl.com/

The biggest part of North Captiva is a Wildlife Preserve with nesting Sea turtles, a huge variety of birds, manatees, wonderful shells and sea live and much more. I am quite sure that I don’t have to tell you: Golf carts are not allowed on the beaches - please stay on the roads. It is fun enough to drive there 😊 Please don‘t litter - it is not only ugly, but a real threat to the wildlife. Maybe you grab a plastic bag if you are going for a walk and collect plastic and other stuff you find and put it in the house waste after your return? I always find it quite satisfying to do so 😉
