Food Scene
Kedungu is located in a rural area so it's relaxed and quiet with restaurants spread wider. While they usually require a walk or short scooter ride, we are talking within 10 minutes. We are lucky to have some real hidden gems in our area. Our favorites are Joshua District - their chef simply is talented and and Passo, part of one of the best locally run restaurant groups in Bali which offer fresh western & local fare at great value for money.
The newest addition to Kedungu is 5-star hotel Nirjhara which has gourmet style restaurant - so you are all set for date night in the comfort of our village.
If you feel like venturing out, it's so easy to reach Canggu as the drive is around 20 min. Hire a car with driver who will drop you off nice and cool for 10USD so you can have a drink and not worry about driving.
Lenon's has great coffee, cold drinks and some snacks and is an interesting spot as it's located just off a street corner. Next to the comings any goings of surfers, locals shopping at the market and beautiful rice paddies to the other side.
The manager Putu takes pride in his coffee creations and is always up for a chat if you feel like it.

You'll find wraps, burgers and salads but also artistic looking dishes like Tuna Sashimii or Grilled Bellpeppers with Goat Cheese, scrumptious and great looking too.

The kids love their pizza and you cannot go wrong with the local dishes either. Worthwhile to mention is also the coffee -it's excellent!
An evergreen for us and convenient 10 min drive from the villa.

We have tried the entire brekki/brunch menu and it’s hard to say which was best. Their iconic smoothie bowl or maybe the big breakfast plate with avocado and their signature pink sourdough bread.
Their salads and „lunchy“ mains are a range of creative & satisfying vegetarian and pescatarian dishes. Our favs are burrata & heirloom tomatoes, curries, fish burger to name a few. Rounded off with great coffee and a good selection of juices, smoothies and teas.
Note that they are open early until 4pm, no dinner service.

A menu with creative creations amongst feel good evergreens and plenty of plant-based options. Ambu‘s good selection of wines, cocktails and freshly squeezed juices is a nice surprise since Bali is not typically known for it’s wine variety. A great tip for foodies!

Parks & Nature
a great choice for a day trip with kids. This Safari Park is so well done as it's a great mix between a zoo, safari tour in air-conditioned busses, activities like photos with parrots, riding elephants and even feeding tigers. The facilities are family friendly with great restaurants and an awesome water-playground to cool down and let the kids go wild.
