There is a trail that will take about 30 min. to 45 min. for you to get from the parking area to the bar so allow for that. It is worth the hike in and out.

Fabulous was to get an unguided ocean based tour of Stonington and the Islands to Isle au Haut. This is how the island residents get to the island so expect just about anything on the boat. Check schedules. About half of Isle au Haut is owned and managed by Acadia National Park. There are no cars on the island but you can take a bike. There are roads both tarred and gravel.

This is in an old Apothecary shop with old wood charm and coziness. The menu is up-scale and wonderful. It is a special event place to go in downtown Ellsworth about 35 min. drive from Brooksville, Maine.
Fine Dining....cozy, colonial feel interior. The food is really good. This is a dress up, fancy place to go. It would be in the memorable category.

It's more than a coffee shop as it serves breakfast and lunch. It serves dinners on weekends but as I write this (in January) you might want to check times to make sure. It's right down town in Blue Hill. There is a door on the side in the back with a handicap parking space there for those who do not want to climb the stairs on the front. During the winter, entry is on the side too. It's in a renovated old building, very comfortable inside with nice seating. The food is great!
