Delicious local and organic menu. Nice meeting point between casual and intimate atmosphere. Reasonable prices but not 'cheap'. Hint: Try the Harvest Lager (brewed locally in Guelph). It's a beer that could turn even the most die-hard Coors Light drinker into a craftie.

Total comfort food paradise. Southern style BBQ, big portions, and decent prices! Lively, loud, and often live music on deck... this place is great to bring a group of friends to. Hint: Try the onion rings and the beef brisket ;)

Excellent brew-pub that has live music on Saturdays. The beer is fantastic, its cheap (by craft beer standards!) and the food menu is surprisingly good. Go with a group. Tip: There's another location uptown Waterloo as well.

Parks & Nature
Take a jog down the street and check out the Lakeside park , which is just minutes from the house. Once there you'll find a cute little lake tucked between trails that are both jogging and bicycle friendly. There are also smaller trails if you want to get off the beaten path a bit more!
