There is a Bistro with a wide variety on the menu from breakfast, lunch or a snack like a muffin as well as wine and beer. Just sit there and enjoy the surrounding beach and view. Go early or late afternoon to avoid crowds in the high season. Go very early and watch the sun rise or drive on the Main road Clovelly to see the twinkling lights after dark.

After you have gone through the gate drive straight to the end of the tar road and park in the parking area. Take a picnic basket and you can picnic and swim around the dam which is about 100 meters away. There is a lot of Fynbos growing there and many walks. When going on walks though you should be at least 6 adults to be safe.

There is a beautiful walk from the Lagoon along a path next to the sea past Fynbos to the Slangkop lighthouse. It is also a good surfing and cray fishing spot. There are stunning views to Noordhoek, Hout Bay and the back of Table mountain.
