It's very pretty, with lots of shady spots and picnic tables, and since it's not known for wild waves, it’s usually ideal for children. It's much calmer than some beaches, and a nice place for a picnic, or wonderful swim, or just relaxing.

Spend an afternoon on Magic Sands Beach. Picture perfect spot, (bring a picnic, if you’d like) but the waves can be a little treacherous at times, so there is a lifeguard. The interesting thing about the beach is that once a year, every single grain of sand is taken out to sea for several weeks, then deposited back on the beach. When we were there at Christmas one year, all we saw were rocks, but as the days progressed, more and more sand appeared, as if by “magic” (hence the name of the beach).
