This is THE beach to visit if you have young children. Miles of shallow sandy water mean your kids can play for hours in safety. Also features walking trails, public facilities and picnic areas. It does get busy in summer months so if your going to go...go early!

A beautiful island in the heart of the Fathom Five National Marine Park. Take the glass bottom boat or zodiac from one of two tour operators. The glass bottom showcases a few of the local ship wrecks and offers a leisurely, relaxing ride to the island. The zodiac is better suited to the more adventurous...open air and fast you make it to the island in about 10 minutes. Explore the islands lighthouse, hiking trails and of course the two naturally formed rock flowerpots. Take a swim suit to enjoy the crystal clean, albeit frigid, waters of Georgian Bay. Not interested in the hiking? You can opt to stay on the glass bottom as it slowly passes the rock flowerpots and showcases the island before returning the the docks at Tobermory. Reservations are required.

Watch the tour boats or Chi-Cheemaun from big tub point. A lighthouse, scuba divers and crystal clear waters make this spot another must see in the area. Keep your kids close...the water is DEEP

2020 UPDATE. THE LIGHTHOUSE IS CLOSED INDEFINITELY Admittedly this is a LONG drive down a windy road. It will take you approximately an hour from Wayward Winds but if you like lighthouses its a good spot to spend an afternoon. Hiking trails, a small gift shop and some confections are available on site.

Drinks & Nightlife
Often live music lights up the patio while you sip a cold beer and enjoy one of their many menu items! I recommend the nachos!

New restaurant in town...and its shaking things up a little. Offering some seriously tasty, brewed on site, local craft beers this place cant be missed. The menu is a little more upscale then what we are used to in Tobermory and well worth the wait at the door. Dont want to wait in line but NEED to try the beer...grab a Growler and take it back to our shorefront firepit!

Live music on Friday and Saturdays...A local favorite. Great menu...reasonable prices and in my humble opinion the best patio in town!

Food Scene
Without a doubt the best Fish and Chips in town...maybe even in Ontario! Their slogan...'eye poppin, jaw droppin, whitefish and fries" says it all. Caught fresh and caught local

You’ll likely have to wait in line to get a taste of these yummy tacos but trust me - it’s worth the wait! Serving fresh tacos from a roadside van - what could be better?

Parking
All parking in Tobermory is paid parking. There are kiosks throughout town where you buy a pay and display ticket for your window. It is also 2 hour maximum time limits. Tobermory is also a very busy spot during summer months so if your wanting to spend some time exploring town my advice is the earlier the better!
