The food here is AMAZING! Although it's not on the waterfront of Toogoom, like Goody's is, the quality of the food and the friendly service definitely compensates for this.

Hundreds of tiny footprints linking the sand dunes to the sea are a tell-tale sign of turtle hatchlings starting their life at Mon Repos beach. A few months earlier, a mother turtle had dragged her large frame up the beach to above the high tide mark to carefully lay her eggs in the largest turtle rookery in the South Pacific. Witnessing this rare sight — a once a year dash to the water’s edge — is one of Queensland’s top animal encounters that you can experience in the Bundaberg region. Urangan Pier is a historic pier in Urangan, Hervey Bay, Queensland, Australia. It is a former deep-water, cargo-handling facility originally built to facilitate the export of sugar, timber and coal. The pier, served by the extension of the railway line from Pialba, was used for the transfer of cargo between rail and ships. It was built between 1913 and 1917, originally to a length of 1107 metres. The pier was closed in 1985, and 239 metres of it was demolished. However, due to public outcry, 868 metres of the pier was left, and the land was handed to the Hervey Bay City Council. It is a popular place to fish from or go for a walk.
