This is great for breakfast/brunch and coffee. The service sometimes takes a little bit; but it is a great deal and an awesome place to sit and do some work

This is a slightly more upscale restaurant, but the food and drinks are absolutely amazing! If you are a vegetarian, though, this is not a place where you are likely to get a full meal.

This is another slightly upscale restaurant, though a little less posh/modern than Global Gourmet. There are more possibilities here for vegetarians.

Drinks & Nightlife
The Cellar is a great local bar, with the added bonus that they do not allow anyone under 21 in (which many of the bars in the area do). The prices are great and the bartenders are absolutely amazing! One of my favorite bars in Carbondale.

Key West is a great bar, and they also usually have karaoke on Thursday–Saturday (though sometimes they invite bands to play). The drinks are reasonably priced, and the bar food is also pretty good.

PK's is the local dive bar and lots of fun. They only take cash, but the drinks are very affordable. If you want a taste of the local culture this is a great place to pop into.

Schnucks is right near my house. If you don't need any sort of specialty or fancy food, this is a wonderful grocery store.
