This is the stand a lone shop of the restaurant of the same name LÓasis (just down the street). If you don´t have the budget for 130 euro main dishes you can just pop into this shop for bread, but better still, the cakes. Possibly the best cakes I´ve ever had anywhere. It is particularly fun to choose 4 or 5 bring them home and share them with the family. You will be delighted with yourself.

A must visit town in the South of France. Park near the Port and check that out before heading to the walled city center. Nice markets, labyrinth streets, mountain and sea views as well as a little beach. The Picasso Museum is located here, but Antibes is better known as the Super Yacht hub. With her deep port she is home to some of the most luxurious vessels around and the town is full of young and vibrant people who work in the yacht industry.

Grasse (5 km form the house) has a mixed reputation. I happen to love it. More Italian in feel than the other towns in the area. Must visit is the perfumeries for a free tour. Fragonard also has a number of free museums which are all well worth it. As is going to the look out point after the Cathedral and the old fish market square, now home to aspiring artists. Not a museum, the home of Renoir up until his death. You can see his room and tools and explore the gardens. It is little visited which is why I like it so much. The large gardens are great for a picnic in the olive trees that Renoir used to paint. No, you will not see many actual works (Only 14 paintings) but you get a sense of what it was like in the early 20th century. And the actual trees and rooms he painted are still there.
