In the 1800s, what is known as the US Coastguard today, built a solid granite structure overlooking Narragansett Bay. The Coastguard house Restaurant established itself in the 1940s and is revered for serving locally harvested seafood. It is right next to the Narragansett Towers which are a historical landmark.

Newport Vineyard in Middletown, RI. Great place to take a wine tour. They have a restaurant called Brix that opens for dinner. It has delicious food and a view of wine barrels depending on where you sit. The lighting is dim and date night appropriate. It’s about a 25 minute drive from the home depending on traffic.
