Tarpon Springs has the best Greek food I've had outside of Greece and Mama Maria's is the BEST. It is so authentic and tasty. I highly recommend a day trip to Tarpon Springs to walk around the sponge docks, drink Greek coffee and eat baklava, go to the markets, and have some lunch at Mama Maria's.

Thing An has the best and most authentic Vietnamese food and is super reasonably priced! We spent a month in Vietnam so LOVE good Vietnamese food. They even have a Vietnamese/French bakery. I suggest ordering #36.

The Upper Tampa Bay Trail goes for miles, but this crosses a river, is nearly all shaded during the morning and early afternoon, and I think it is the prettiest part of the trail!

This is one of Tampa's best kept secret beaches. Everyone goes to Clearwater, but Pass a Grille is just as close to our house and usually has ample parking and is gorgeous.

Big Cat Rescue is really close to our house. This is a great tour to organise when it isn't too hot (i.e. not right in the middle of the afternoon on summer) because it's about an hour walking tour seeing everything the rescue does. It's a little pricey, maybe $35 but definitely worth it and it's a rescue so it goes to a really good cause.
