Here I will tell you what things you may do, where to shop, eat, recreate and just keep busy.
Seven minute walk from my home. The Metra Train to Chicago (29 minutes). Free parking after 11AM M-F and all weekend. There is a Saturday express train to Chicago at 9:35AM and weekdays at 5:11PM++

It is very close, open 24 hours per day, and I can loan you my access card if I'm not going that day. It is near Subway on the southwest corner of Belmont and Maple.

They have authentic Italian food in a quaint atmosphere. It makes you feel you are in Naples. The owners are from the county and are warm. They hang out in the adjacent bar. This place is closer than downtown Naperville and just as good food.

Downtown Downers Grove was renovated about 10 years ago. I particularly like going to the Cellar Door eating outside on Friday night during antique vintage car nights in the summertime. The ice sculptures and winter are memorable.

This NEW micro brewery is a five minute walk directly west, across Belmont Road. They are open Thur-Sunday and are super friendly. It is VERY close, just a quarter mile away.

It is a little more classy than Ballydoyle, can sit outside by the front or inside if you wish. They only serve wine and beer, no mixed drinks, good sandwiches and fruit and cheese dishes.
