In the heart of Pest, it is an obligatory stop for the excellent cakes: it’s is one of the oldest and most famous cafés of Europe. I love the Dobos torta, a sponge cake with an extraordinary chocolate mousse, very good the Sacher, too. Very expensive, but if you take away you get 50% off. The property runs the Michelin starred restaurant Onyx, on the opposite side of the square. Metro stops: Vörösmarty tér (M1)
