Places to eat in and around Mogliano

A lovely restaurant within walking distance. Recommend sitting at an outside table with a view of the countryside, you'll even be able to see our house. Highly recommend the pasta and perhaps an ice-cold Limoncello to finish off your evening. Makes sure you spray yourself for mosquitoes if you plan on dining outside anywhere. The service at La Perla is fast, friendly and professional, especially if you are lucky enough to be served by Francesco, who is also able to make excellent recommendations if you are not sure what to eat.

A great place to take younger kids who can play in the park, while you enjoy a cold beer or a glass of wine. Very relaxed vibe and excellent pizzas. Some of our guests' children have even ended up playing a game of soccer with the local kids. The entrance to the park is on the main street in Mogliano, on the right hand side as you drive into Mogliano, right opposite Pancattelli's Ferramenta (which by the way is an Aladdin's cave stocking all sorts of things, including mosquito spray, which we would recommend you stock up on!). Say hello to Roberta if you stop there and tell her we sent you. Roberta also speaks excellent English. If you're stuck and you need pet food, there is also a small stock of pet goodies at Pancattellis.

Great restaurant in the historic centre of Mogliano for dinner. They have pizza, pasta and grilled meats. The vegetarian starter platter for 2, is fantastic! Get to see the main piazza of Mogliano and maybe even a show at the Apollo Theatre in the same piazza. Remember to book a table though as they are often busy.

Wine-tasting

Wonderful, friendly service. Taste Le Marche's local wines, while enjoying beautiful views, in a vineyard, only 10 minutes' drive from our country home.

Theatre

A wonderful, local theatre, found in the main piazza in Mogliano (only 5 minutes' drive from our place). Inaugurated in 1844, it has a wonderful sense of history about it. You can enjoy both theatrical and musical productions there. Le Marche is known as the Land of 100 theatres, due to the large number of theatres in the region. We highly recommend a visit to at least one of them! If you'd just like to have a look, pop into the local tourism office (The Pro-Loco office on the left hand side of the theatre entrance) and you can ask the lovely lady who works there to open up for you to have a look. This is also the place where you would go to book theatre tickets.
