Sightseeing
Open May 1 to October 23 each year, the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens is the largest botanical gardens in New England with 300 acres of themed gardens, hiking trails, art installations, interactive exhibits, and much more for adults and children alike. And they reopen in November and December with the gardens decorated with thousands of lights for Gardens Aglow, one of the premiere winter events in Maine. Kate and I are members and love going to the gardens frequently through the year to enjoy the myriad plantings as they change through the seasons.

Surrounding our property to the North and West, there is a very pleasant loop trail through the 160 acres of Pine Tree Preserve including a lovely pond. One of my favorite places to walk and it’s right behind the house!
