Buffalo is known for wings, but we're also known for our "beef on 'weck". A roast beef sandwich on a kummelweck bun. Charlie the Butcher's has the best around and it's only a few blocks away from the house.

City/town information
About a 25 minute drive from the house, Lewiston is one of our favorite places to visit. They have a great outdoor concert venue called Artpark. Their downtown is quaint and charming with some great restaurant options. Lewiston is also right next to Niagara Falls, so you could pair a trip to the Falls with stopping in Lewiston for a bite to eat.

Buffalo Pizza and Wings
Most places are pretty good and you can find a dozen or more pizza/wing joints within a five minute drive. Our favorite is Franco's which is outside that 5 minute radius (about a 10-15 minute drive), which has multiple locations across WNY, but it's popular and the wait times are pretty crazy. If you want to order from there, do it ahead of time online.
We love our pizza. It's not like NY or Chicago style, it's more doughy than NY style and not as thick/heavy as Chicago. Also, if you don't go to Duff's or Anchor Bar, order wings from virtually any pizza spot and they're usually a hit
