Food scene
Woodhall village is a walk of about 15 minutes down the Broadway, or down the quieter Tor'o'moor road. Once in the village, you will find a choice of restaurants and independent food shops and cafes, a pub, and hotels. The Abbey Lodge, on Tattershall Road is a longer walk (c. 30 minutes). Many restaurants get very busy, so remember to book ahead.

A lovely pine-scented place, ideal for a walk, with or without your furry friends! The main entrance and parking is about a mile down Kirkby Lane, towards Kirkby-on-Bain.

The Kinema is always worth a visit! They show the current films, and host some special events; and it is one of the few places that still offers an interval - with added entertainment on Saturday nights!

Horncastle is a historic market-town offering a wider range of shops, and a range of shops selling antiques and bric-a-brac. It is situated on the edge of the Wolds, under a 10 minute's drive from Kirkby Lane, or a fairly flat cycle ride from the old rail way track that runs along the back of the golf course (the rail track is accessible at various points, including Sandy Lane, a mile or so down Horncastle road)
