The trail within the park leads to a huge observatory that overlooks our island and the Gulf of Mexico. Wildlife of all kinds can be seen here. The main attraction is the fresh water spring that flows into the Gulf. It is enclosed now, but at one point was a popular swimming hole for locals.

The main attraction is the fresh water spring that flows into the Gulf. It is enclosed now, but at one point was a popular swimming hole for locals.
