Largest park in Toronto. Good for hiking and biking. Located literally in front of the building.
Don't recommend driving or taking a car there. As parking is limited and can get very crowded.
April is great to see the cherry blossom trees bloom. October is great to catch the fall colors. A theatre company also plays Shakespeare in the Park during the summer months (July - Sep). Tickets here: https://goo.gl/sm1jqH

Great Cycling trail, goes right up to downtown and Ontario Place. You can pick up a go bike located near High Park entrance.
Take the road down high park entrance to lakeshore, access to the waterfront trail is via lakeshore.
