Amazing hiking. Most of the hikes in this area are the more difficult variety so be prepared. But the effort is well worth it with some incredible views of the mountains and glaciers in our area. The trail head for a lot of the great hikes is about 45 minutes west of Golden. BC.

In the winter Kicking Horse is one of the most incredible ski resorts in the world with amazing terrain. The bulk of the ski runs are either black diamond or double black but there are runs for everyone. It is known for its champagne powder. It is also a great stepping stone for backcountry skiing. In the summer months, the resort has a grizzly bear refuge, mountain biking trails, via ferrata and hiking.

One of the most spectacular spots in our area. This is not an easy place to get to as it involves a poor road for about an hour drive. From the parking area, it is an hour hike to get to the lake. Well worth the effort. Watch for bears though.
