Klein River Private Nature Reserve is situated halfway between Stanford and Gansbay, 7 km from the main road (R43). The reserve is part of the Walker Bay Fynbos Conservancy that strives to eradicate alien vegetation like rooikrans and port jackson and to preserve the endemic fynbos vegetation. The farm covers 600 ha of pristine coastal fynbos. Walker bay beach (die plaat) is accessibly directly from the farm road by 4x4 vehicle.

The farmhouse and surrounds is run completely off renewable energy sources (solar, wind and gas). Its has its own borehole that supplies water and rainwater is also harvested and stored. There is a veggie patch in the making that will soon be supplying some home grown products The house sleeps 8 people comfortably in 4 rooms and has 3 bathrooms. There is a large kitchen and living area with indoor fireplace, a scullery and 2 outdoor, undercover braai areas. DSTV, wifi and firewood included. There are 2 dogs that live on the premises. A rather large ridgeback, called Benson and a small Jack Russel, Dina. They both love people but we can keep them in a separate area if you do not like dogs.
