“Vallauris is a Roman town best known for its famous inhabitant, Pablo Picasso. Picasso lived in Vallauris from 1948-1955. During this time he created numerous sculptures and paintings including the War and Peace mural, one of the major artworks of the period. Picasso greatly contributed to the renaissance of the Vallauris pottery industry. Visit the Picasso museum and admire War and Peace and Picasso's other major works of art from the time he spent in Vallauris. Vallauris also hosts the International Ceramics Biennale, an international contemporary ceramics competition that attracts famous ceramic artists from around the world. Vallauris is the only town in France that still harvests the flowers of the bitter orange tree. The hillsides around the town burst with thousands of orange trees whose flowers are hand-picked in the spring. Visit the Nerolium shop on Clemenceau Avenue and stock up on some bitter orange marmalade and other local produce. Driving distance from Cabris: 30 min ”

“This is a restaurant that has been around for almost twenty years and they've always stayed consistent. It's in the port of Golfe Juan so you can walk around the boats and people watch. The food is great, the wine list isn't bad at all and then... As it gets late, everyone starts dancing to the french multi-instrumented DJ.”
