“Hellbrunn Palace (German: Schloss Hellbrunn) is an early Baroque villa of palatial size, near Morzg, a southern district of the city of Salzburg, Austria. It was built in 1613–19 by Markus Sittikus von Hohenems, Prince-Archbishop of Salzburg, and named for the "clear spring" that supplied it. Hellbrunn was only meant for use as a day residence in summer, as the Archbishop usually returned to Salzburg in the evening; therefore, there is no bedroom in Hellbrunn.”

“If you have time, do make a trip by car or local bus out to the spectacularly beautiful Lake Wolfgang. If you get off at St. Gilgen you can take the boat over to St. Wolfgang and go up 1.200m on the cable car to the top of the Schafberg from where you will have amazing views. Otherwise just walk along the lake paths. On the way you will pass the smaller sister lake, Fuschl, which is emerald green and a peaceful alternative to the bustle of Wolfgang.”

“For some 450 years, visitors from around the world have been entering the Hallein salt mine, deep inside the Dürrnberg. Which makes the Hallein salt mine the first in history to open its tunnels to the public. Visitors from near and far included many crowned heads, guests of the archbishops. All were fascinated by the mysterious subterranean world. And to this very day, the mines which the Ancient Celts clawed meter-by-meter out of the Earth over 2500 years ago have lost none of their magical appeal.”
