“This is the best beach in Auckland. There are no roads along the beach only houses so it is very quiet. Great for swimming two hours either side of high tide, and at low tide you can walk out among the sand pools and see what you can spot. Walk along the beach from Bath street and up and around the mountain at the end North Head. Amazing views. ”
“The local beach that is only 500m away. Great for swimming on all tides and watching the boats go out. You can walk along the cliffs towards the old gun shelters. There is a nice cafe on the cliffs that is open in the weekends. ”
“At low tide, you can easily walk around the rocks and foreshore from Narrow Neck Beach to Cheltenham Beach. The walk takes around 20 minutes, and if you are feeling fit, you can explore North Head which is accessed from the southern end of Cheltenham Beach. ”
“Great fresh ingredients dine in or takeaway, also on Uber Eats. I highly recommend the food here. Try the Tom Yum Prawn Udon, you can order online www.thetaste.co.nz”
“The grounds of Fort Takapuna is on a commanding position at the head of the Rangitoto Channel in the Hauraki Gulf. This made it an important lookout and defence site for hundreds of years, first for early Maori inhabitants and later for European settlers. The original military title for the area is ‘Fort Takapuna’. Also on site is the Officers' Mess which is a populate wedding venue and Sunday brunch destination.”
“Whild Wheat Bakery is an award winning bakery at the top of the road that also does great coffee. Here you can also get your food and wine from the shops and cafes on the parade.”
