“The manor house is a manor house located on Herregårdssletta in Larvik. The manor house in Larvik starts here. The manor house was built as a residence for Ulrik Frederik Gyldenløve, the building was started in 1674 and was completed for his third wedding with Antoinette Augusta von Aldenburg on August 16, 1677. Gyldenløve was Count in Laurvigen county and state governor in Norway. Originally, the Manor was situated outside the town's border, surrounded by a large garden that stretched all the way down to the sea in the south. The manor house was protected in 1923. Today, the manor house is part of the Larvik Museum”
