“If you like long sandy beaches, beauty and quaint little villages... this is a cutie. Lovely places to see all around this area. Drive to Spillanes for a pint and a meal during high summer (only open for dinner 1 September - 30 Nov). Keep driving and you will arrive at the pier with lots of boats and fishermen, if you go for a walk around the top of the pier you will see the 7 hogs islands known as the Maharees.... gorgeous indeed. Food also available at Gregorys Cafe, in Castlegregory and a few little shops plus a supermarket... ”

“Beanbawn is located at the mouth of Dingle Bay and provides for a delightful 1hr walk. Walk our the Tralee road. Follow signs for The Skellig Hotel. From there follow the path way that follows the banks of the bay. It’s a nice easy walk that gives you time to take in the splendor of the bay. Continue out to the Lighthouse ruin. There is a beach here where you can take a dip (it’s a little rocky). You will also catch a glimpse of the boats following Fungie the Dingle Dolphin around. Have the camera ready as you may see him leap out of the water”
