park
“Coolidge Park, located on the city’s North Shore, is one place where you can overlook the beautiful Tennessee River, play in an interactive water fountain, stroll across on one of the world’s largest pedestrian bridges-the Walnut Street Bridge, test your skills at rock climbing, picnic with your family in plenty of open green spaces, admire a military memorial and even ride a tiger on the 100-year old restored antique carousel. Coolidge Park is adjacent to local entertainment, art galleries, shops, and restaurants and serves as a venue for numerous concerts, festivals and special events. It is also part of the Tennessee Riverwalk, a 13-mile long public greenway that runs along the Tennessee River – from the Southern Belle Riverboat to Chickamauga Dam. In 2006 The Peace Grove was added to Coolidge Park. It is a circular landscape of trees planted to represent each of Chattanooga’s Sister Cities and celebrate the city’s global friendships around the world. ”

Povijesna znamenitost
“Part of the Chickamauga-Chattanooga National Military Park, these grounds commemorate the "Battle Above the Clouds" that was fought on Lookout Mountain in 1863. Worth the drive to the top of Lookout Mountain. The views and overlooks are breathtaking, especially with the fall colors. Parking fee is $3 and entry to the park is $7 per person.”

“Whether you're looking for a scenic overlook, or a starting point for a hike, we recommend driving up to Signal Point. If you're looking for a shorter hike, hike down to Rainbow Lake and back. If you're up for a six mile hike, we recommend the trip from Signal Point to Edwards Point for the most stunning view around. ”

“Raccoon Mountain Caverns consists of over 5.5 miles of underground passageways. While many caves have small areas of formation growth, Raccoon Mountain Caverns has countless, 100% natural formations and is exceptionally well preserved, considered to be one of the most geologically active caverns in the South. They also offer two distinctly different types of guided tours: Crystal Palace Walking Tours and Wild Cave Expedition Tours, plus Specialty Tours at select times.”
