Carved out of the rock, this passage, dug in 1845 for 1 km, allowed the barges (flat-bottomed boats) to be towed by men or horses to climb the current of the Lot. Today, this cut in the cliff makes it possible to walk safely along the river to the Ganil lock. The wall of the path is embellished with a bas-relief of 30 meters long, sculpted in 1985 by the Toulouse artist Daniel Monnier. It evokes its representation of the river and its environment: fauna, flora, rocks, fossils and eddies.

You embark for a boat trip on the underground river.
