Bellingham – najbolji parkovi

park
“There are three and a half miles of trails in Whatcom Falls Park. Many routes wind through the forests here, some overlooking the creek gorge and still pools. Some wind through open meadows, while others stay in deep forest. A WPA-built stone bridge greets visitors, just 100 yards from the parking area. It's a beautiful, mossy wonder that makes a great destination in and of itself, though further wandering in the park is a fantastic day outing. Connect to Bloedel Donovan Park, the Railroad Trail, or do a one-mile loop in the park by beginning in the Silver Beach Road parking area, near the stone bridge at the main falls.”

“Small and cute park on the water. This park is more low key and can be a great place to launch a kayak or canoe.”

“The gem of the Interurban Trail is Arroyo Park. Trails follow a beautiful creek under a dense forest canopy. In the fall, salmon can be seen spawning in the creek. Great for walks or just sitting along the creek. Cross the bridge and hike one of the many trails leading into the Chuckanut Mountains. There are two parking areas along Old Sammish Road near Chuckanut Drive. ”

“Western Washington University and Fairhaven College in Bellingham. Established as an arboretum in 1967, Sehome Hill was protected from logging officially by members of Western's College Board of Trustees in May 1969. At first just 38 acres were protected, but then in 1974, that was expanded to 100 acre, and now visitors from all over can enjoy this gorgeous green space. Complete with overlook tower, informative trail signs, and an outdoor sculpture collection that is an excellent addition to any excursion to the Arboretum. ”
