“Almaden's Quicksilver County Park is rich in local San Jose history. The trail offers up maps that outline the historic landmarks along the numerous hiking paths in the 4,163 acres available to explore. This plot of land was home to San Jose's famous mercury mines and was instrumental in boosting the economy back in the 1800's. The mines were highly important during the California Gold Rush, since mercury was used to extract gold from ore. I've hiked these trails personally a dozens of times over since my childhood and can't get enough of it!”
“Love Bocci Ball? This place is awesome outdoor place to play. I have balls you can use. Just ask.”
“Best views in the Bay area to see the Monterey Bay on one side and the whole Bay Area up to San Francisco on the other.”
“4 star dining. Great food and ambiance. Nice for celebrating special occasions.”
“ Many options for hiking where you can find deer, turkeys, halks and other wildlife. I even saw a wild bore there once.”
“There is a nice and easy trail at this park. If you go early in the morning, you may see deer, wild turkey, bob cats or other small animals! There is also mountain lions, but sighting is very rare.”
