The apartment as showed on the pictures. It's clean. Separate bathroom for guests. Nice balcony in a room to have a glass of wine on siesta. Great terrace, where we had breakfasts, suppers and watched the stars. Fully equipped kitchen and guest room. 5 minutes walk from a beach. Long beach with showers and few people. Place is close to a supermarket. We got an Italian breakfast (even brunch) with coffee and pastry in a nice cafe nearby. Lots of restaurants in the vicinity.
Thanks to Virginia and her mom for the stay! We felt like we were a part of a big family and come to guest at our aunt's place. Virginia was very responsive and helped us to find the way to Donnalucata using public transportation. On arrival her help was precious when our flight was delayed for 10 hours. We missed all the direct buses and Virginia helped us with the directions and finally picked us up at a nearby town Scicli where we managed to come on a last bus. Virginia's mom treated us with great home made ravioli and wine. Other guests were super nice and it was a pleasant to have a talk. Virginia kindly offered to help us in exploring the region by taking us on her car to other towns: Scicli, Modica, Ragusa, Marina di Ragusa. We even tried to go, but the sea and beach was so peaceful and attractive that we didn't exchange a day on a beach to a day hiking old beautiful towns. We liked Donnalucata. It was unexpectedly nice place where 90% of tourists are Italians. And it's valuable, if natives choose a place for vacation. The beach wasn't empty, but we could find space to feel solitude. We liked to go for a walk on the beach watching people playing bocce, launching a kite, playing some ball games. We played friesbie on beach. Oh! Virginia gave us a sun umbrella, but we were to lazy and never used it on a beach.
Virginia thank you! We would like to come to your house again to have some more tranquillity and clean sea. And thank to you and your mother for your small gift. It was very nice. And the other thank for your recommendations! By your advice I tried aranchini in Catania! :)
