Braamfontein is alive! It's not your average quiet suburban experience, but is an authentic taste of Joburg's city life. Braamfontein is amazing during this time of urban renewal and is always alive with sights and sounds & the area is filled with students, artists and professionals. You may briefly hear students returning from a night out at Kitchener's and The Great Dane. Braamfontein juggles an interesting balance of regeneration and yet maintains some sections of neglect, through it all we love it here!

We have both lived in Johannesburg for most of our lives. Our lives revolve around the city and we love the lively bustling nature of town. We have two cats; Milk & Vindaloo and two Italian Greyhounds, Tofu & Peanut Butter ... so if you do come to our house (10 mins away from the Airbnb in boho Melville) for a visit be sure to spot them lounging around. We love traveling and have many more places we still want to explore. Our preferred way to see a city is on foot.
