Newly redecorated in 2015 (when we moved in), this top-floor apartment has a huge roof terrace, one double bedroom and a wonderful open-plan kitchen (we are huge foodies!). Great neighbourhood close to the charming Jordaan area.
The apartment is completely newly renovated, and the building itself dates back over 100 years. It has an open-plan kitchen, living room and dining room, with beautiful natural light. A lot of the furniture was custom-built by us, so we take real pride in our house. The roof terrace is almost as big as the entire apartment and has beautiful views over the city!
Everywhere except one spare room, which will be locked.

We will be away on holiday ourselves while guests are staying. However, I'm a food and travel writer, so I have plenty of tips that I can leave for guests on arrival. It's a great neighbourhood with a few nice restaurants and bars within a stone's throw of the apartment, so even if you don't venture far you'll have a great time!
The apartment is at the top of a very "Dutch" staircase - that means it's extremely narrow and steep. The apartment is therefore not suitable for people with mobility issues or small children, unfortunately.
Despite Amsterdam's reputation, this is a strictly non-smoking apartment (when it comes to tobacco, weed, or anything else). We don't allow anyone to take drugs, have parties, or invite other guests not in the original booking to the house. We also do not allow pets or animals of any kind.
I'm a freelance food writer, and my partner is a translations manager. We're obsessed with food (I can give you plenty of tips for eating out while you're in Amsterdam!), love to travel (I'm British and my partner is American, so travel is necessary as well as fun), and have put our hearts and souls into designing a small-but-beautiful place to live.
